Steve LowdenChairman

A petroleum engineer with over 30 years' experience in the international oil and gas sector, Steve has a track record of building energy businesses throughout the world, including large-scale gas projects. He was previously executive director and officer of Marathon Oil and Premier Oil.

At Premier, Steve held a number of roles including Executive Director of Development and Production, Business Development and Exploration. He added more than one billion boe of new resource, and operated and managed multiple emerging market oil and gas projects from discovery to production. At Marathon, Steve was President of Marathon International, Head of Corporate Business Development and Head of the Global Integrated Gas business adding new operations including businesses in Russia, Norway and Equatorial Guinea.

David StoopinChief Executive Officer

A petroleum engineer with 30 years' experience, David is responsible for NewAge’s M&A, corporate finance and business development activities.

David was previously Commercial Manager for BPs' Ultra Deep Water developments in Angola. Another key role at BP was as manager of the company's global upstream mergers and acquisitions strategy.

Prior to joining BP, David was Project Manager for International New Ventures at Premier Oil and Senior Field Engineer with Schlumberger.

Pascal NicodemeChief Financial Officer

Pascal Nicodème joined New Age in 2015 and has over 17 years' experience in the oil and gas industry and banking. He began his career as a field geophysicist for Total. Pascal joined Perenco in 2002, where he ran the group cost and management control and subsequently became group finance manager, then deputy general manager of the UK branch. Pascal then joined the banking industry and held management positions in the Reserve Based Lending and Project Finance and Advisory teams of several banking institutions, including Natixis, Credit Agricole CIB and Standard Chartered Bank.

Pascal holds an engineering degree from the Ecole Polytechnique, a MSc from the French Institute of Petroleum and a MBA from INSEAD.

Dave LoranExecutive Vice President Cameroon & Congo Brazzaville

A petroleum engineer with over 40 years' experience, Dave leads the Company's technical development of its portfolio and manages the Congo Brazzaville and Cameroon businesses. Before joining NewAge Dave held a number of senior positions at Marathon Oil. In particular, he led the company's operations and developments in Russia.

He was a key player in Marathon becoming the operator of the initial phase of the Sakhalin II project. Dave built extensive relationships at all levels of the Russian government. His work was recognized through the Friendship Award of Russia - the highest accolade any foreigner can receive in Russia.

Phil ArundelExecutive Vice President Kurdistan & Nigeria

A petroleum engineer with over 30 years' international experience, Phil manages NewAge's Kurdistan and Nigeria businesses as well as overseeing the Company's global operations.

Phil has extensive experience in the upstream oil and gas business, starting with 10 years at Shell and then holding senior staff positions at Petrofina, Premier Oil and Suntera.  

Phil has also served as a Senior Consultant for BP, Team Energy and Newfield and during this period worked on several projects in the North Sea, Middle East and Asia. He joined NewAge in 2009

Patrick BirdExecutive Vice President Exploration

Patrick has 30 years' experience in the oil and gas industry and is responsible for all exploration and new venture activities. He held senior posts at Dragon Oil before joining Premier Oil. There, he worked as Global Exploration Manager overseeing the discovery of the Zamzama and Zarghoon gas fields in Pakistan, and several gas fields in Indonesia, the Philippines and Thailand.

Patrick became General Manager of Pakistan operations for Premier becoming CEO of that company's subsidiary business until 2004. He went on to become Chairman of the Board of the Premier-Kufpec joint company. He also served as Chairman of the Pakistan Petroleum Producers Association, developing a strong relationship with the government of Pakistan, and lobbying successfully on regulatory and commercial issues on behalf of the industry.

Mike WachtelLegal Counsel

Michael acts as General Counsel and is a senior equity partner and the head of the Upstream Oil & Gas practice at Clyde & Co. He has practiced law in the international oil and gas industry for more than 20 years and has advised on corporate and asset M&A transactions, initial public offerings, commercial and joint venture agreements, equity and debt financings and regulatory matters for many start- ups, small cap and major listed and unlisted oil and gas companies.

Michael has broad experience of every type of upstream oil and gas transaction throughout Africa, the Middle East, Far East, Latin America and the former Soviet Union. He is a member of the AIPN and former Chairman of the UK Energy Lawyers Group Committee and holds an M. Eng in Mechanical Engineering.
